The solution provides a sales system encompassing all the stages of sales, from the creation of a Quote (commercial offer) to the shipping of goods. Incoming customer requests are registered in the system as Quotes (commercial offers).
Navicon Trade functionality allows for automated reconciliation of a Quote, and helps the users to drill down into commodity transactions. For example, a manager can drill down the information on all the items whose status is 'In Transit' and then analyse the total amount of goods in transit, view the transportation documents and the scheduled time of delivery.
After a Quote has been entered into the system and approved, the system launches the 'Make Order' procedure, which creates the invoice automatically. Since every commercial operation has to be approved several times (after a Purchase Order is created, it should be approved by a manager, the marketing director, the financial director, then there follows the recording of the document, and the shipping), Navicon Trade enables a manager to monitor a Quote's status, the amount of the bill, etc.
An important feature is the integration with Microsoft Outlook: the system sends an email notification to the person in-charge automatically in case an order has been approved.
After a procurement plan has been created, the system recommends a supplier based on such parameters as the expected terms of delivery, price, and product availability. However, the manager can also choose a supplier on the basis of his/her own assessment of the supplier's offer.
After the choice has been made, the system forms a number of purchase orders, enabling managers to monitor the expected delivery dates and delivery completeness (full or partial shipping). This information is automatically displayed in the system which is integrated with the suppliers' enterprise information systems.
The speed and precision of purchase orders and deliveries correlates directly with the degree of warehouse optimization.
Navicon Trade solution has features for all the main warehouse procedures: goods' picking and placement, shipping and relocation; scheduled deliveries; internal transfers; alternative methods of goods' picking (on-demand, for a project, for a shipment); the replenishment of bins based on predefined in-stock limits.
With Navicon Trade, a warehouse can be divided into separate zones, storage areas, and bins, with the possibility of rearrangement. This ensures orderly and priority-based picking and placement of goods.
Sales & procurement planning
The system enables its users to grade the products into three categories (A, B, C – according to turnover, amount / quantity, margin and other parameters), with each of the categories having separate procurement rules. The system also allows for calculating safe inventory balance for products.
Financial & managerial accounting
Navicon Trade allows you to track down the company's indirect expenses using ABC method, and to analyse the cost of production for each product item or for a batch of items, as well as its structure. This is achieved by distributing the costs across the batches or even particular items.
For the purpose of managerial accounting, the solution allows you to receive management information on accounts receivable and goods' relocation in regard to the whole corporation as well as each of its separate offices and branches. For holding companies, there is a possibility to maintain accounting in the unified consolidated form, while the data for financial and tax accounting for separate legal entities can be translated from it later.
