Briefly about IBM ILOG platform
IBM ILOGIBM ILOG (IBM Decision Optimization Center) is a highly productive corporate platform used to build systems for planning and scheduling. The platform enables its users to resolve the planning problems of almost any difficulty in various industries, whereas the tasks can relate both to the maximization of performance (the company's income, the machinery & equipment reliability) and the minimization of such issues as downtime, breakdowns, various expenses. IBM ILOG productivity rests upon many years of expertise and the best practices employed by IBM, as the optimization engine is constantly being improved by its developers.
Since the solutions based on IBM ILOG integrate large informational resources with the tools for BI and optimization, these solutions help enterprise directors to take really thoughtful and efficient decisions which allow for high-quality plans.
Balancing the competing goals of different departments
Searching for and dealing with bottlenecks in workflows
Integration with Microsoft Office as well as various DMBS and BI systems
Embedded visualization tools to analyze the computed results
Different architecture options
The platform enables its users to optimize different types of corporate planning (under the incoming data set and existing limitations):
- strategic planning – by helping to design and assess investment budgets, to analyse the effectiveness of long-term processes;
- tactical planning – by helping to design optimal schemas and supply cycles, to efficiently use warehouse and production capacities, to assess the feasibility of future plans;
- operational planning – by optimizing the use of equipment, machinery, mechanisms, facilities; by helping to change the plans in case of unexpected events and sudden limitations (delayed supplies of raw and other materials, or the rejection of finished goods).
Structured storing and processing of data
The system allows you to organize your data storing environment and structurize your data-related work. Apart from the main benefits, such as the safe and reliable storing, it is particularly important if the planning process is decentralized. With IBM ILOG, highly efficient joint corporate work can be organized even if the participants are in various geographical locations.
'If-then' scenario modeling
The platform allows you to create the unlimited number of basic plan's scenarios. You will be also able to model various events: scheduled (the preventive repairs, cleansing and washout of equipment) and unscheduled (breakdowns, QC rejections of raw materials and other supplies). IBM ILOG empowers you to design and employ well-considered and relevant plans, while helping reduce the impact of undesirable factors thanks to the prompt re-planning (as the newly-formed plans will be optimal under the new data).
