Navicon, a systems integrator and developer, joined top 10 leading players of the Russian Master Data Management market according to the leading IT mass media in Russia, TAdviser. Navicon is the seventh in the ranking. The ranking list and a review called “Master Data Management solutions in Russia: main players and trends” were prepared by the analytical center of TAdviser; they take into account IT companies’ achievements in the Russian market in 2016-2017.

Master Data Management market has grown up to 1.5 billion RUR by the end of 2017, as TAdviser’s analysts have counted. 75% of that are services in the consulting and administration of Master Data Management projects. According to the market experts, this is due to the growth of clients’ interest to solutions for complex coordination and control of information flows.
“These days, there are tools on the market, which can work with any volumes and types of data. It does not matter if it is information from social media or something gathered from detectors at a manufacturing facility. Data is becoming an active management tool. That is why it is not enough just to guarantee its structured storing in directories with regular checking for mistakes and doubling. Business needs solutions that can work with all company data without switching between systems, screens and dashboards. It means that the data must be synchronized and cross-checked in all systems of the company. It is a complex and difficult task, which can be solved only by contractors specialized in Master Data Management systems.”

Huge producers and manufacturers are becoming the main drivers of the master data market, experts suppose. Such enterprises have been always aggregating large amounts of data about business and production processes. Now such companies want to optimize the storing and exchange of this data in order to use it for higher preciseness and speed of their decision making.

Navicon’s master data management projects in 2016-17 have been carried out exactly for pharmaceutical and FMCG producers, manufacturing companies and large financial organizations with lots of subsidiaries and large amounts of data to be managed. In total, Navicon completed 4 large MDM projects in 2017.

As Navicon’s analysts estimate, in the following 2 or 3 years Master Data Management market will be growing by more than 20-25% a year, primarily because of new software and hardware solutions and technologies of intelligent data processing.
