System integrator and developer Navicon became a laureate in the International Competition for Partner IT Solutions for Microsoft. In addition, the company received an award in the Dynamics 365 Field Service nomination for a project implemented for Vostochnaya Tekhnika.
The international Microsoft Partner Awards is held annually. This year, the organisers received more than four thousand applications from 108 countries, more than 50 from Russia. The vendor determined the winners in several dozen nominations; among the critical selection criteria were the innovativeness of the solution, its benefits and value for the customer, and the ability to scale.
Navicon submitted to the competition a project implemented by Vostochnaya Tekhnika, an official Caterpillar dealer, and as a result, the integrator became the winner in the Dynamics 365 Field Service nomination. As part of the project, Navicon automated field service management using the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and Field Service solution, the latter system being introduced in Russia. As a result, all service engineers of Vostochnaya Tekhnika received a single interface for working, where they can receive assigned orders and record the progress of their implementation. Moreover, the managers have the opportunity to track the outcome of field specialists online.
To meet the unique needs of the customer, the Field Service solution has been modified by Navicon. In particular, the business process for working with orders at Vostochnaya Tekhnika differs from that implemented in the standard version of the solution. Hence, IT specialists disabled some of the mechanisms of the traditional process and developed new ones. As a result of the project, the productivity of the service department has increased significantly.
Navicon has a high level of expertise not merely in products that are part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 IT ecosystem. In 2020, the company paid great attention to developing skills in working with the Microsoft Azure cloud services platform. Consequently, Navicon has moved to the cloud many proprietary analytics solutions that help companies make decisions based on market dynamics, sales and customer communications, and distributor performance. After that, the company introduced another solution to the market - the complex analytical system Navicon SFE BI. It allows pharmaceutical and FMCG companies to manage the goals and KPIs of field employees, analyse their visiting activity, and track the fulfilment of contractual conditions by partners. In addition, Navicon has implemented several large projects based on Azure Data Platform services.
